Mazda SA opens shop

Mazda badgeMazda Motor Corporation announced on October 1, 2014 that operations at Mazda Southern Africa have officially started.

Before August 2013, Mazda’s business in South Africa was the responsibility of Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA). Now, Mazda will plan and implement its own plans aimed at reenergising the brand in SA and, crucially, increasing sales.

Mazda has a long history in South Africa dating back to 1963 when the company first entered the market. Spearheading the current revival are the launches of the all-new Mazda3, Mazda 6 and the CX-5 crossover SUV range, which will be expanded from October 2014.

Yuji Nakamine, Mazda’s senior managing executive officer, said, ‘By providing our customers with models that offer Mazda’s unique driving pleasure along with high-quality aftersales service, we hope to enrich people’s lives and build a lasting bond with our customers.’

Mandla85

Welcome to my corner of the automotive world! I'm Mandy Lawson, better known as mandla85, and I'm absolutely obsessed with everything related to cars and motorsports. You bet I'm interested if it has four wheels (or sometimes two!) and an engine. For me, cars aren't just a means of transportation; they're a passion, a lifestyle, and an endless source of fascination. I love diving into the world of automotive engineering and design, exploring the latest trends, and uncovering the stories behind the machines. Email / Facebook
