Lexus LF-CC Concept
This LF-CC design is a preview of a new mid-sized coupe that Lexus intends to introduce soon. Think Audi A5 shape if you’re looking at competitors. The idea behind this new concept is a commitment from Lexus to create more involving and sporty cars going forward.
The exterior has been aerodynamically sculpted to improve airflow into areas such as the engine bay and over the rear end. The raked design shifts most of the emphasis onto the rear of the car, focusing traction on the rear wheels where power is sent.
The interior is also a heads-up for how Lexus plans to improve its design in the future. Lexus say that the cabin will be focused on a sporty driving position with an updated Human-Machine Interface technology. Soft touch materials are worked in with the metallic finishes to create a premium feel.
The engine for this 2+2 coupe will be an all-new 2.5-litre full hybrid. Lexus targets less than 100g/km of CO2 from the petrol hybrid. There aren’t any power details on the engine yet but Lexus is planning to introduce the engine to current models soon.
