Organisers have nailed down a date for the 2015 Johannesburg Motor Show and promise the show will feature more brands and models than ever before.
Visitors to the show can expect more models, but also activities such a Ride and Drives and a chance try out the always-popular 4×4 track.
A Techno Lab shows the impact future trends and technology will have on the automotive world, while Honda’s Asimo robot will also be on hand to entertain crowds. The Show Theatre promises to be another highlight with events, new-model unveilings and still-to-come previews on the bill.
Promising greater interactivity, organisers have also vowed to set up a dedicated website to allow for visitor engagement and also give fans a platform to share what they’d like to see at the show.
Founded in 1996 as Auto Africa, Jims gained international motor show accreditation in 2004. In 2008 it was acquired by Naamsa. For 2015, Jims management company South African Shows has entered into a joint venture with global exhibition experts Messe Franfurt. Show director Pula Dippenaar says, ‘This partnership ensures that the 2015 Johannesburg International Motor Show will be a true global showcase drawing on the Messe Frankfurt group’s international strengths and network while retaining a strong African identity.
