Lexus IS-F vs BMW M3 vs Merc C63 AMG
By:

Close your eyes and imagine a medium-sized, 250kph performance car with rear-wheel-drive, lots of cylinders, and a level of quality and driving dynamics born from serving the most demanding and discerning buyers on the planet. Not hard to answer, is it? It’s got to have a small round badge on the nose, divided into either three or four equal-sized segments…

Wrong – it’s neither. It comes from Japan. Its badge is a stylised ‘L’ and there’s none of this gentleman’s agreement on restricting top speed to 250kph. The Lexus IS-F (claims Lexus) is good for 270 before the limiter reigns in, making it one of the fastest four-door production sedans on the planet, an advantage which should set BMW and Mercedes-Benz salesmen quivering in their pointy, highly-polished Winklepickers.

It’s hard to decide which one

It’s hard to decide which one is the best car; the Lexus IS-F, the BMW M3 or Mercedes C63 AMG. I’ve always liked BMW, but if we are going to judge them based on how they look, I think that Mercedes designs some fine cars

LEXUS has dipped its toe in

LEXUS has dipped its toe in the luxury hatchback market with what it describes as the world’s first compact luxury hybrid car. The new entry-level Lexus, which uses the latest third-generation hybrid powertrain from the Toyota family, mixes legendary Lexus build quality with Toyota’s benchmark hybrid fuel efficiency.

i like bmw more than the lexus though they have the same style but i think bmw is the best in terms in performance and parts. Lexus is good too but my dads car is a lexus and now he have a problem on the coil spring of his car...too bad for him i got my bmw it is now 5 years no problem so far i did some maintenance every 2 weeks

Mercedes

i still go with mercedes... the creator of the most lavish and undoubtedly head-turning cars on the road, the Mercedes SLR McLaren was known as one of the finest sports cars on the planet. and ofcourse Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG which replaced their award-winning model. i always check this cars on magazine Covers - Vehicle articles and they look really fantastic

There is only three cars in the world, the merc, the bm and the rest

brilliant-car c63-amg

to be fair the m3 you guys have on this test is a coupe why dont you try out the four door sedan like you've done the other two C63-AMG is the best car of them all true its a fuel gazzling beast but if you have it spend it on quality or did i mention that you need to try out the m3 sedan

C63 not in the running

Although an awesome beast the merc does have 50% more CC than the BM or Jap. That must translate to performance and unfortunately fuel consumption. I really dont think anyone is going to beat the M3 for what it is made for - a racing car for the road.

dont believe the hype!

Only get BMW or Merc because YOU love it....dont believe the hype about them being better just because..... many find it hard to be truthful when they are simply less comfortable (BMW's often hard seats), or less economic (Merc's huge engine). Every car has its talents and its pitfalls.

M3

I've driven all three, and the balance that the M3 has of handling, raw power and agility is unmatched. The C63 is a brute, no question a real dragster, but handles like a coffee table. The Lexus is just not in the same class.

Awesome car-C63 AMG

worthy effort

Good try, If you look at the maintenance costs over 5 years, you will understand why people buy Lexii. Although if you can afford this much outlay why worry? If you were buying secondhand a few years from now it's a different story. Germans perfect at hype engineering
