There were wins for the Terry Moss-run Engen Xtreme Racing Audi A4 quattros of Michael Stephen and Shaun Watson-Smith in round seven of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship at Phakisa Freeway in the Free State on Saturday.

Stephen started race one from pole position and had an easy win ahead of former champion Leeroy Poulter (Nissan Dealer Team/GP Windscreens Nissan 350Z) and reigning champion Johan Fourie (Indy Oil Audi A4 quattro), whose entertaining battle for the runner-up spot was a feature of the eight-lap race.

Race two, with the top nine finishers from race one in reverse order, saw Watson-Smith lead all 10 laps and finish a comfortable five seconds ahead of former champion Anthony Taylor (Afrox/Midas BMW 330i) with Marco da Cunha (Nissan Dealer Team/Tubular Nissan 350Z) just three tenths of a second behind Taylor.

Taylor (91 points) retained his slim lead in the championship, just two ahead of Fourie with Stephen third (83) and Poulter fourth (81).

Tschops Sipuka (Southern Sun/Engen Xtreme) won both Formula Volkswagen races, making history in the process by becoming the first driver of colour to win a national championship single-seater race.  Devin Robertson and Gennaro Bonafede shared a win apiece in the Engen Volkswagen Cup in their Champion-backed Polos.

Jaguar drivers Brandon Auby (ELT International) and Franco di Matteo (Varta Batteries) were the WesBank V8 Supercar winners and victorious on two wheels were first-time winner Greg Gildenhuys (Race Nation Honda) and Sheridan Morais (Emtek Racing Kawasaki) in the Interfile Superbike category
