Nothing at the top of the order changed after the second qualifying at Le Mans. The session was slowed by the damp track that was drying from the afternoon's rain. Only during the second half of the session were any notable times set.
Peugeot still hold the top four places on the grid but as to which car will be on top is anyone's guess. Currently the Sebastien Bourdais car holds the top spot but the three other cars have all put in fastest sectors that would put their ideal lap faster then Bourdais.
Audi is still off the pace with its diesel R15 but the team remain upbeat and are looking into why their straight line speed is so inferior to the Peugeot. The Audi team are also hoping for a dry circuit come final qualifying and race day as the R15 has had very little wet track testing since the new parts have been added to the car.
In LMP2 David Brabham snatched provisional pole with a superb lap, ousting the Strakka team by nearly 1.5 seconds.
In GT1 the Aston Martin crew were unable to improve their time and were caught up by the ever improving Ford GT's. Aston now only lead the pack by three tenths of a second.
The Only two Ferrari's left in the field are one and two in the GT2 class, which is still tightly contested. Good news for BMW fans is that the M3 GT2 has improved the gap to the leaders to just two and a half seconds.
