The departure of the revered/despised/loved (take your pick) Citi Golf has left a huge hole in the entry level segment, a hole that Volkswagen South Africa has now plugged with the introduction of the Polo Vivo.

Old Polos are the scum in Tunisia
In Tunisia, North Africa where I have been in holidays this car kind of cars, old VWS polos that stopet production in 2008, belong to poor or deceitful people. They are all crashed and dirty on roads with camel food on top. They are the scum of the cars.

Just bought myself one of these líl things and boy! Am I cruising, am I cruising!!! I am truly enjoying it and the installments are not making holes in my pocket...Oh swirl!!!
The thing that VW has here!
I think that the issue here is that you would be able to have some good auto repair shops or stores or even manual in order to really make things good here. In that way, things would be good and it will be for the long run.
Everybody laughs about the vivo!
In Europe everybody laughs about this old boxy thing stills beeing produced in South Africa. This car is considered obsolet and unloved all ovre the world, a flop by Vw. Why Vw S.A. still made this old and not attractive model???

I thought every new car is an improvement of the old one. And this doesnt disappoint me. Its way above the old VW Polo Vivo. If im going to buy this car i'll install a good brake shoe set. I dont want to experience what happened to me last year.

An old car in new car market
I wonder why South Africa keep old cars like this in the new car market menu. This is in fact an obsolet car that nobody wants. S.A. car market is becoming true third world one. Please, bring and sold fresh products from Europe and Japan not old ones!!!

A lot of kit has been removed between the two. So no - I don't agree that the old Polo was over priced, it is competitively priced with Fietsa...
Not bad
A much better bet than the city golf, the old gen polo still looks reasonably fresh, and its a good quality product, pricing is right on the mark too, there are many chinese competitors that cost more, so does the new tata indica.. a no brainer choice really. for those on a budget a very good buy and spec is okay. just hope reliabily issues of old have been sorted.

same for dealer service. good product means nothing if you dont get the aftersales service. thats my only major issue with vw.
