At the 2011 Cape Classic Car Show International held during November at the Jan Burger Sports Complex in Parow, Cape Town, the inaugural Topcar Top Motor Club trophy was awarded to Club Peugeot Afrique du Sud.

Judges were Topcar contributor Mike Monk, Franschhoek Motor Museum curator Wayne Harley and journalist Dave Fall. Many clubs were represented at the show and in presenting the award to Club Peugeot's chairman Ian Loubser, Mike commended the club's small but enthusiastic membership who, despite their limited resources, put on an impressive Pininfarina-themed display with an interesting variety of vehicles penned by the Italian designer.
