It seems Bmw has been dropping the ball spectacuarly lately with its new models, having read alot of the overseas magazines(even the germans) the x1 has had rather poor reviews ,areas being criticised, poor quality interior,poor interior packaging, average refinement. yet the vehicle will still sell.prrof even a dead donkey with a Bmw badge plastered on it would be a top hit. yet its the new 5 series thats been causing the most controversy, the overall verdict being that without certain options such as Active damping control, the new 5 is nowhere near as good to drive as the old one, and on standard suspension is no match for its competitors. even in its home country the new five has had a lukewarm reception, how is that for progress? its not all bad, the general consensus is that it has a nice interior,great engines, and er gearbox. but thats not enough, so its clear, the old 5 is the better car to drive. those who disagree read the overseas press. or choose to be ignorant. the truth stings though.
